Hi Dave,
Glad you liked the info! Many owners in Alaska contacted us previously, they are great people. KBD are perfect for such place. Our dog was driving us mad in the last year running away constantly now finally at 3 i think he is becoming more obedient. Many times i lost him due to him running away off the leash. Fortunately i could find him through his bark but its not a nice experience. There are cars and once i thought i seriously lost him, i looked for him for about 2 hours and luckily my wife helped me to find him. Sometimes he pisses us of with his bark but that has come under control too. It is a very tough breed without a doubt. We love him lotz. BEST OF LUCK!

Hi there,
I am a REL/KBD owner and I just have to say thank you for how you shared your information about the true KBD. I love the breed and long to see it protected not exploited. Though Kiva is a REL/KBD I do not love her less and I am glad for the fact that I got her no matter what her pedigree is. :) Some sites make me feel like I made a mistake or that Kiva is a less dog because she is not pure. Your thoughts and information were amazing. I will get a pure Finnish KBD when I get another dog someday because of the purity of the animal and because of its over all behavior and personality as well as how hearty and healthy it is. (I live in rural Alaska 300 miles from the nearest road...I have to fly to go anywhere :)).

Anyway, greetings from Alaska and I hope that you will continue to just love dogs and love the KBD you own as I know you will. What a blessing these animals are to those who love them and not exploit them for profits or the show circuit.

Sincerely,
Dave - Galena, AK
